Holiday Art
Found this painting of Venice during the Christmas season. I used a thick watercolor paper and mixed several styles including mixing diamond dust highlights on the moon. I love painting scenes trying to capture a strong mood with colors and loose brush strokes. The blue sky is actually spray paint to get a flat opaque look to the sky.
Sketching Rome
Color washes over ink and pen sketch on heavy paper...
Monotype Art

Lady Study
Bold figurative portrait on paper. Color study using ink, acrylic and pastel. Ink washed flower at left set off by heavy tones of red, green, and yellow.
Landscape Sketch
A quick study trying to capture moonlight. I like to start with a fast under sketch and then paint on top bringing out detail. I usually mix many different styles with my studies because I feel I can easily create the mood I'm looking for and also it keeps the art fresh.
