Project Description

Ryuzu Falls, Japan

water color on canvas,
18 x 24 inches.

Private Collection, Japan.

With the Yunoko as its water source, this waterfall runs down 210m over steep slopes of cooled lava made after Nantaisan’s eruption. It is on the north side of Lake Chuzenji and pours into it. It is divided into two flows in the rock basin, and is named Ryuzu Falls because of its resemblance to a dragon’s head.
